UPDATE– One person was killed in the crash, according to a dispatcher for Rancho Fire.
Del Dios Highway is closed between Calle Ambiente and Rancho Drive because of a crash involving a cement truck, according to the CHP. The crash happened at about 11:45 Saturday morning. The road is expected to be closed until about 2 p.m.

Lifeguards are responding to a bluff collapse at Torrey Pines State Reserve, according to a state lifeguard official. The collapse happened around 10:30 this morning near the area known as Bathtub Rock. At this time there is no reason to believe anyone is trapped; however, search dogs from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department are being brought in to locate possible victims.

The San Diego Police Department reports that all beach parking lots are full on this busy 4th of July holiday. They are asking that people follow the directions of traffic officers.
The weather is cooperating with the festivites by delivering a warm sunny day along the coast. Here’s our latest forecast.

San Diego fire crews are responding to a grass fire in Mission Valley. The fire broke out about half an hour ago near Ambrosia Drive. The fire is burining in a grassy area East of I-15, and North of Friars Road. A SDFD fire dispatcher says there structures are not threatened.

Cal Fire crews have put out a bruch fire in San Marcos, according to our crew at the scene. The fire broke out about an hour ago near the intersection of North Twin Oaks Rad and Quarry Road. No homes were damaged.

Emergency crews are responding to a report of a plane crash east of MCAS Miramar, according to a dispatcher for the San Diego Fire Department. Initial reports indicated it is a small civilian plane.

Sheriff’s deputies are responding to a shooting near the intersection of Avocado Blvd. and Fuerte Dr. in unincorporated East County east of Mount Helix.
We have Sky10 in the air and a crew heading htere on the ground.

UPDATE - Four people were stung near a home on Normal Street, including a 79-year-old man who was stung more than than 30 times. Nobody at Helix High School was stung.
4:56 P.M. - Emergency crews are now focusing their attention on a home near the school where bees have been seeing flying in and out of.
10News reporter Michael Chen is on the scene right now and will have an live update on 10News at 5:00.
4:36 P.M. – Multiple ambulances are on the way to Helix High School in La Mesa after people reported numerous bee stings, according to a dispatcher for Heartland Fire.
Sky 10 is above the school now. We’re seeing a couple fire trucks in the parking lot. We have another crew on the way going on the ground.

UPDATE – Crews have knocked down the fire, according to a Heartland Fire dispatcher. People in the area reported hearing loud booms or explosions during the fire but those came from the Sheriff’s bomb disposal yard which is nearby.
4:26 P.M. – Fire crews are currently working a residential fire Rancho San Diego. The call came in minutes ago for a blaze on the 1900 block of Elva.

Homicide detectives from the SDPD are currently at a home on the 6400 block of Lockford Avenue in the Paradise Hills neighborhood. Details are still thin; we have a crew at the scene right now. They’ll have a live report on 10News at Midday – that starts at 11:00 a.m.
